English: St Colman's Church, Farahy. Noteworthy for its association with the author Elizabeth Bowen (1899-1973) who lived at Bowen's Court (now demolished), and is buried in the churchyard. The church was built in 1721 and is an excellent example of what is now a very rare early 18c Church of Ireland church in Co. Cork. It has attached to it another very rare example of an early 18c Church of Ireland schoolhouse, that is now used as the vestry. There is a dated wall plaque of 1721 recording the school's inception 1392173.
